009 - Tatanga

Bet yall thought I was giving up on this didn't ya?
Well guess again.

Ever since I got my 3DS I have fallen in love with handheld gaming. I owned the orignal Super Mario Land on my gameboy pocket as a kid, but I could rarely get through the second level in Chai Kingdom. I only ever got to see Tatanga once, and he beat me. I was happy to get this game on 3DS Virtual Console and get my revenge four times over and more to come.

So, here's me celebrating with a drawing. Anyway, onto the bio.


Tatanga is the antagonist of Super Mario Land. While Mario was saving Princess Daisy's Kingdom from this invading alien, Wario had snuck into Mario's Castle ( what the hell? ) and made it his own. He sealed the door to the castle that required Six Golden coins to open. Tatanga was given one of the Six Golden Coins to guard from Mario, and set up base on the Moon.

He has not been seen in a Mario game since then. A shame really. Despite Super Mario Galaxy being set in space, he did not even cameo. He was one of the two who would have been a perfect fit for Galaxy ( the other being Raphael Raven ) who did not show.

It's a shame really. Gunpei Yokoi had some really cool contributions to the Mario series, but Miyamoto refuses to use anything in the mainstream games, but his own creations.

Oh hey, I went back and fixed everyone's music.
...Um. But I still have't found one for Bloop.
