Large Carnivorous amphibians that live in the rivers of the Savannah plains. They are extremely aggressive and very powerful. They are considered among the most dangerous amphibians in the world.
Their bright and colorful tail fins are used as a method of attracting mates, as well as an intimidation tool for other predators, It flares up and quivers, flinging water about in a colorful display as the Bekkosek bellows with it's gaping mouth.

I like how amphibians occupy more varied niches in your world than they do in the real world. It's not a group that gets a whole lot of attention generally speaking.
Also, the bekkosek reminds me of a hippo, which also fits with the cute but dangerous description.
