Blue Dragons live scattered in plains and mountains. They spend most of their live asleep. When they do awaken however, they'll consume their whole bodyweight in anything they can get their jaws on, vegetable, fruit, or meat.
During lightning storms, they suddenly become very active, roaming outside with their heads held high, in hopes of catching a bolt of lightning on their horns. If successful, the voltage is stored in an energy pouch at the base of the horn. This energy can be discharged as a thin beam, which scorches anything it hits.
This electric energy is used to subdue faster animals they would eat, or to heat up vegetables and make them more tolerable. ( They tend to only eat vegetation if they're too sleepy to continue hunting. )
Pretty cool. The anatomy reminds me a bit of a sauropod, though the dragon's neck is a bit short for that comparison. The rain dripping off it is a nice touch. Where do they sleep? Unless its skin is a lot tougher than it looks, sleeping that much seems like it would leave it vulnerable.
I like to think they sleep anywhere they please, as they don't have very many predators, and are intimidating enough to be left alone. At the moment, the only thing they share a habitat with that could stand up to them are green Dragons, and I don't think they cross paths often.
